Dr. W. Scott Cleveland
W. Scott Cleveland is Director of the Catholic Studies Program and Assistant Professor of Philosophy. He received his B.A. in philosophy and biblical studies from Taylor University, his M.A.R. in philosophical theology & philosophy of religion from Yale Divinity School, and his Ph.D. in philosophy from Baylor University (2014). He enjoys running, mountain biking, reading literature, and spending time with his wife, who is also a philosopher who works in metaphysics, and their daughter and two sons, who they hope come to see the inseparability of ethics and metaphysics.

Dr. Lauren Emmel
Lauren Emmel, PT, DPT, grew up in a small, rural community in Stearns County, Minnesota. She was influenced by the Benedictine sisters of St. Benedict’s Monastery throughout her childhood years, most especially through attending a Catholic grade school. Lauren attended the University of St. Catherine in St. Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota, earning a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
