Jordan Almanzar, PhD, teaches at Kolbe Academy and Magdalen College of the Liberal Arts. He holds a PhD with honors in "History and Literature of Ancient Christianity" from Georg-August-Universität in Göttingen, Germany. His doctoral dissertation, written under the supervision of world-famous New Testament scholar Gerd Lüdemann, was published as a book in 2019. His recent memoir, When the Earth was Flat: One Boy's Life at the Edge of the Millennium, was praised by Anthony Esolen as, "...simply, the best book about boyhood I have ever read." Almanzar has written numerous scholarly and popular reviews and articles, as well as appeared on several podcasts, including, The Kolbecast, and From the Summit.
