James D. Carrico, PhD, serves as Assistant Professor of Engineering at the University of Mary, a position he has held since August 2018.

Dr. Carrico earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City in 2018, where he served for five years as a research assistant at the University of Utah Robotics Center. Prior to his doctoral studies, Dr. Carrico served as a math and science teacher at the Chesterton Academy in Edina, Minnesota, and worked as a research and development engineer and design engineer. Dr. Carrico earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada-Reno in 2006 and an MA in Catholic Studies from the University of Saint Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 2011.
