Coach Dale Brown is one of the most sought-after motivational speakers in the country. Originally from Minot, North Dakota, Brown graduated from Minot State University in 1957 and served as head basketball coach at Bishop Ryan High School from 1959 until 1964. Coach Brown most famously served as head coach of the men's basketball team at Louisiana State University from 1972 to 1997, leading his team to two Final Fours and four Elite Eights. Brown is the second-winningest coach in SEC basketball history.

Coach Brown is a member of the North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame and the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame, and is a veteran of the United States Army. He and his wife, Vonnie, live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
